BMW has recently revealed its new R 12 cruiser, a smaller sibling of the more premium R 18 cruiser that is sold in India.

The R 12 cruiser is based on the same platform as the new R 12 nineT roadster, which is the successor of the popular R nineT2.

The R 12 nineT produces 109 hp at 7,000 rpm and 85 lb-ft at 6,500 rpm, while the R 12 cruiser makes 95 hp at 6,500 rpm and 81 lb-ft at 6,000 rpm3.

Both models share the same 1,170 cc air- and oil-cooled boxer engine, but with different power outputs and tuning.

It also has a new classic trellis frame with a bolted-on rear section, a single shock with revised travel-dependent damping, and a keyless ride system

The R 12 cruiser comes with two riding modes, “Roll” and “Rock”, as well as Dynamic Traction Control and Engine Drag Torque Control as standard.

It also has a round instrument cluster, a USB-C and 12 V socket, and LED lighting with optional adaptive Headlight Pro3.
